Experience and Expertise:

Mr. Samano is President and Chief Executive Officer for Integrated Marine Services, Inc., the company he founded and leads today.

Mr. Samano has worked in the marine industrial arena for over 35 years, during which he has served in various capacities. His career began at the young age of 17 with his first venture of working on the waterfront and consequently became an American Success Story. From working the waterfront to owning his small business under the SBA’s 8(a)/HubZone Program(s), he has achieved success because of his singular emphasis on providing expert, quality repairs for his customers. Mr. Samano has mastered his knowledge from entry level positions, to Senior Executive and General Manager, gaining in depth knowledge and expertise in all areas of the ship and boat repair business, automated propulsion systems controls, precision welding and numerous other essential marine repair services. The United States Navy and Coast Guard commended Mr. Samano on his outstanding performance and for providing superb value for monies dedicate to ship repair for the government. Larry is not considered t a ‘desk guy’. Rather, he is “hands on” and is involved in every aspect of the pre/post award of contracts, from signature to delivering the final end item.

Prior to founding Integrated Marine Services Inc., Mr. Samano led successful efforts in previous employment to increase operational efficiencies and revenues in all sectors of the businesses he managed. His experience includes detailed knowledge of government contracting, shipboard production scheduling, quality control systems, business permitting, accounting practices, and compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to the ship repair business.

Since the founding of Integrated Marine Services, Inc., Mr. Samano has increased business substantially with the Department of Homeland Security, the United States Navy, the state of California and other agencies. The range of businesses has expanded from shipboard structural repair to the complete, complex overhaul of vessels, including United States Coast Guard ships. Mr. Samano provides daily, personal, direction in the execution of the company’s work, to include planning, production and quality control. Additionally, he has expanded the role of the company as both a prime contractor and subcontractor to major ship repair companies. His experience working in the civilian, military and federal sectors guide his vision for a company whose primary mission is to become the best ship and boat repair company in the United States, serving its customers with outstanding attention to detail and superb delivery of products and services.

President/CEO – Integrated Marine Services, Inc.

General Manager – for Miller Marine, Inc., took a failing 1.0 million-dollar revenue per year company to a multi-million dollar per year profitable company. Managed all day-to-day operations. Replaced antiquated accounting system to a Job-cost based (Intuit Master Builder) system.

Vice President/General Manager – at Medland Controls, Inc., directed all day-to-day company operations. Spearheaded company-wide expansion in east and west coasts, growing revenues from $500,000 to 12 million annually. Medland Controls, Inc. was the #1 full-service ship repair contractor in the San Diego area.

General Manager – at Precision Welding, revitalized and restructured overall operations of a failing division, increasing sales from $500,000.00 annually to 10 million in just two years.

Operations Manager – at Marine Machinery Repair, managed start-up in all daily operations. Built company from the ground up to achieve 3 million in annual sales in just two years.
